Brave 90 – Update 10A to 15A plug
Celli has informed us of an upcoming change to all Brave 90 coolers to 15A power plugs. This will better accomodate electricity demand during compressor cycles and prevent plug degradation over time.
Font air bleeding tool
When installing Bracton fonts we recommend using our font tool. This handy little tool can be used to release end caps on most of our font range* to remove air locks to assist in evenly cooling the font lines. *For beverage fonts which do not use this tool require an allen key to undo the screw on the bleed port. For more information contact your local Bracton representative. PART: CCF0820
Bracton capital investment
Bracton has implemented a new capital investment strategy to drive greater efficiencies and growth into the next decade. Bracton has signed to acquire a new DMG Mori CNC lathe that will be delivered in September. We will be following this up in late 2019 with a highly customised and advanced Lincoln robotic welding cell. These technologies will provide improved production responsiveness and R&D prototyping capability combined with a new approach to repetitive production.
This investment will ensure Bracton’s stainless production line will be the most advanced in Australia delivering a high level of control and automation. Furthermore, this will ensure the majority of stainless components will continue to designed and made in Australia.
4 Coil chiller plates – Discontinued
To improve the way we manage stock we will be discontinuing stocking of 4 coil chiller plates and increasing holdings of the 6, 8 and 10 coil plates. We expect existing 4 coil stock holdings to last to June/July.
Font spigot size – Standardised
All Bracton fonts spigots (bosses) will be transitioning to 32mm over the next few months. The reason for this change is to bring 3/4” spigots in line with direct tap connections & cobra connections compatible with 32mm or multi clamp branding holders. If any doubt about ordering branding holders just mark the order, “holders to suit”.

B-Lock quick connect seals
There are a number of B-Lock connection brands available in the market place and while all efforts are made to maximise compatibility between brands (current and past) there is will always be some variation between brands. In an effort to maintain the highest level of compatibility we use and recommend the BS015 o-ring which in our experience provides the best connections across all samples we have tested. In some cases a BS014 o-ring may provide improved connections and can be purchased separately.

Agitator pump range review
Agitator spare parts range will be streamlined to MID7, STA-8, STD23 and Totton SPC54. Both RIO-7 and STP-18 agitator pumps will be discontinued as they are no longer being used in Bracton ice bank coolers.
RIO-7 to be replaced by MID-7 model
STP-18 to be replaced by STD-23 model

Glycol Brewery Chiller Range
Brewery Gylcol Chillers
Bracton manufactures a range of high performance glycol brewery chiller ranging from 1kW to 100kW. Ideal for both cold liquor or fermenter cooling applications. Our glycol brewer chiller platform is highly flexible allowing the perfect configuration for specific cooling and flow rate requirements.
GLYCOL BREWERY CHILLERS – SUB ZERO RANGE
Sub Zero brewery glycol chillers are the latest in Bracton’s glycol chiller range. Available in both remote and self contained ready to chill configuration, the Sub Zero platform provides a tailored solution ideal for breweries requiring up to 100kW cooling power for fermenters or cold liquor tanks.
Bracton manufactures brewery chillers tailored to your application. Using our flexible platform, our heat exchange cassettes allow your brewery to add additional capacity as cooling and pumping requirements change, reducing unnecessary capital expenditure or plant duplication.
Using this platform also allows your plant to produce the right cooling capacity rather than 100% on or off, saving electricity consumption.
Reliable
Engineered to provide years of trouble free reliable service, these systems are ideal for commercial brewery applications including crash chilling.
Energy efficient design
High thermal efficiency insulated glycol tanks minimised heat loss from tank in Australian conditions.
Plug and chill
Our self contained chillers are designed to reduce installation costs. Plug in, fill up and turn on.
Note: Bracton recommends equipment is installed by a professional system installer. For your local installer contact [email protected]

Gas Heater (CO2)
Gas Heater for Carbon Dioxide
When CO2 decompresses a cooling effect occurs resulting the gas output to stop operating consistently. A CO2 gas heater is required for some high flow applications to prevent the regulator from failing due to freezing. One of the major causes of a regulator freezing is gas flow in excess of its capacity in addition to other environmental factors described below.
Conditions which many effect the gas temperature include;
- Speed of gas flow
- Ambient temperature
- Type of carbon dioxide or CO2 Mixture
- Initial temperature of carbon dioxide
This issue is may occur in high flow environments such as breweries and stadiums. By appropriately preheating the carbon dioxide gas prior to the regulator, freezing can be prevented.
High Pressure
Medium Flow CO2 Gas Heater
The medium flow carbon dioxide preheaters are suitable for pressures up to 200 bar (20,000 kPa).
The CO2 flowing through the system are evenly warmed through an automatic temperature control, so that an uninterrupted flow - even when in constant use - is provided. There are two mounting options available.
One has type 30 connections and can be mounted between the cylinder and the regulator, or on a wall mounted manifold arrangement, between the manifold and regulator. The second type has female to male threaded connections and can be installed as part of a manifold “system”. Gas warmers should be situated under cover as the units are weather proof but not waterproof. It is recommended that the power is disconnected when the system is out of use for long periods as the gas heater can overheat the gas. When the system is not being used the cylinder valve should be shut and the gas pressure released from the system.

High Pressure
High Flow CO2 Gas Preheater
The high flow carbon dioxide preheaters are suitable for pressures up to 300 bar (30,000 kPa).
Our gas heaters are manufactured to the latest VDE-CE regulations and DIN/EN 60335-1. The CO2 flowing through the system is evenly warmed through an automatic temperature control, so that an uninterrupted flow - even when in constant use - is provided.
The CO2 heater should be mounted between the cylinder and the regulator, ideally on a wall mounted manifold arrangement. It should be situated under cover as the units are weather proof but not waterproof. It is recommended that the power is disconnected when the system is out of use for long periods as the gas heater can overheat the gas. When the system is not being used the cylinder valve should be shut and the gas pressure released from the system.
